NEO was born from the meeting of the ORW (Royal Opera of Wallonia – Liège – Belgium) with Timeless Network/PuZZling records.
This event, a first in Belgium, will take place in the prestigious place of the Royal Opera of Wallonia, Friday May 16, 2008 www.orw.be. For the occasion, the orchestra stuff and the seats of the spectators will be covered with a floor which will enlarge the scene. NEO, it is also the desire for opening the doors of this beautiful Theatre to a young public, for which the Opera is a still unknown universe.
The event will be in two parts :
1) from 21 H to midnight :
NEO will begin with electronic concerts. The electronic performances will be associated to extracts of traditional opera and will be accompanied by the musicians of the orchestra from the Royal Opera of Wallonia. In addition to the music, NEO add the multi-media aspect while inserting innovating projections of talented vj’s, that will be on line on an huge screen of 17m/8m but also by using all equipment, decorations, the accessories and lighting of the place. Four artists and collective (Subskan, Meiose, A.L.F. and Brainsucked) will occur on scene with Murcof as an international guest. This artist is member of the Nortec collective. He develops a traditional sound and minimal electro for an introspective music, melancholic and really beautiful. http://murcof.com/
2) second part from midnight to 4 am: After this moment of listening and discovery, the night will go on with a party animated by national and international electronic artists and this in a nice atmosphere. Artists like [Neil Landstrumm|http://www.myspace.com/neillandstrumm] (U.K.), DMX Krew (U.K.), Mike Dred (U.K.) and Bioxyd (BE). Time will be performing that night.
Hall – Doors... The Opera can contain up to 1000 persons. The presales will be fixed at 19€, doors: 25 €. A cd with tracks of the artists of the party will be given to each person.
